How to install Trend Micro to another device?

This article shows you how to download, install, and activate additional protection to your Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS devices using your Maximum Security license.

Adding a Windows computer

To add a Windows computer under your subscription, do the following:

1. Open the main console of your Trend Micro Security software.

   1. Click this button below to download MainConsole.zip

      Download MainConsole.zip

   2. Open MainConsole.zip and run MainConsole.bat. This will open Trend Micro Security Main Console.
2. Click Protect Another Device.

   

3. Click Add a device.

   

4. Click Windows icon.

   

5. Select how you want to share Maximum Security:
   OPTION 1: Send email
   OPTION 2: Copy link
   OPTION 3: Download
6. Double-click TrendMicro_16.0_HE_Full.exe to run it.

   Click Yes when the UserAccount Control window appears.

7. Wait for the installer to extract the files needed for the installation.

   

8. Wait as Trend Micro checks if your computer is compatible for installation.

   

9. Type your serial number, then click Next.

   

10. Read the Data Disclosure Notice, then click Next.

    

11. Read the License Agreement, then click Agree and Install.

    

12. Wait for the program to install. This may take a couple of minutes.

    

13. Provide a computer name, then click Next.

    

14. Installation Completed window should appear. Click Finish.

    

15. Trend Micro main console should open. Your computer is now protected.

    

 

 

Adding a Mac computer

To add a Mac computer under your subscription, do the following:

1. Open the main console of your Trend Micro Security software.

   1. Click this button below to download MainConsole.zip

      Download MainConsole.zip

   2. Open MainConsole.zip and run MainConsole.bat. This will open Trend Micro Security Main Console.
2. Click Protect Another Device.

   

3. Click Add a device.

   

4. Click Mac icon.

   

5. Select how you want to share Maximum Security:
   OPTION 1: Send email
   OPTION 2: Copy link
   OPTION 3: Download
6. Open the Antivirus for Mac installer.

   Click Install Trend Micro Antivirus.

   

7. Click Open on the security warning to continue the installation.
8. Click Continue.

   

9. Wait for System Check to finish.

   

10. Click Continue on the Welcome screen.

    

11. Read the Data Collection Notice, then click Continue.

    

12. Read the License Agreement, then click Continue.

    

13. Click Agree when prompted to accept the License Agreement.

    

    You may click Disagree if you do not agree with the terms of the License Agreement but this will automatically terminate the installation process.

14. Type your serial number on the field provided, then click Continue.

    

    You can find the serial number from the CD sleeve or Order Confirmation email.
    If you want to install the trial version, select Start a free trial of Trend Micro Antivirus, then click Continue.

15. Click Install.

    

16. Type your administrator password, then click Install Software.

    

17. Wait while the Trend Micro components are installed onto your Mac.

    

18. Click Close after the installation is done.

    

 

Adding an Android device

To add an Android device under your subscription, do the following:

1. Open the main console of your Trend Micro Security software.
   
   Click this button below to download MainConsole.zip
   
   Open MainConsole.zip and run MainConsole.bat. This will open Trend Micro Security Main Console.
   
   
   
2. Click Protect Another Device.

   

3. Click Add a device.

   

4. Click Android icon.

   

5. Select how you want to share Maximum Security:
   OPTION 1: Send email
   OPTION 2: Copy link
   OPTION 3: Scan QR Code
6. Tap Install.
7. Tap Accept, then wait for the download to finish.
8. Tap Open to open Mobile Security app.
9. Click Continue on Privacy and Personal Data Collection Disclosure.
10. Agree with the License Agreement, tap Accept.
11. On the bottom part of the app, tap Start Free Trial Now.
12. Tap Use an Activation Code.
13. Enter your Trend Micro serial number, then tap OK.
14. Sign in with your Trend Micro account.

 

Adding an iOS device

To add an iOS device under your subscription, do the following:

1. Open the main console of your Trend Micro Security software.

   1. Click this button below to download MainConsole.zip

      Download MainConsole.zip

   2. Open MainConsole.zip and run MainConsole.bat. This will open Trend Micro Security Main Console.
2. Click Protect Another Device.

   

3. Click Add a device.

   

4. Click iOS icon.

   

5. Select how you want to share Maximum Security:
   
   
   OPTION 1: Send email

   1. Type the email address you want to receive the email with the link to download the program.
   2. Click Send.

      

   3. On your iOS device, open your email.
   4. Click the download link from the email you received. Wait for the download to finish.
   
   OPTION 2: Copy link

   1. To copy the download link, click Copy link.

      

   2. Send the link using an instant messaging app to your iOS device.
   3. On your iOS device, open the link. Wait for the download to finish.
   
   OPTION 3: Scan QR Code

   1. Scan the QR code using any QR code scanner installed on your iOS device.

      

   2. Tap Get.
6. Tap Install.
7. Tap Open once installation is finished.
8. Click Continue on Privacy and Personal Data Collection Disclosure.
9. Accept the License Agreement.
10. Tap Next, then tap Done.
11. Tap Set Up Account to activate the subscription, then sign in to your account.
